Stephen Michael Perkins is Chef/Owner of SMP Catering. In 2001 Stephen decided to take his love of cooking to a higher level and attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. While attending CCA, Stephen was trained by many top chefs from around the world using the Le Cordon Bleu curriculum from France. Before graduation, Stephen had already formed his catering company and catered successful events. As a chef, Stephen likes to blend flavors from around the world using the freshest ingredients available.

In 2006, SMP Catering became the primary caterer for the Half Moon Bay Lodge. At the Half Moon Bay Lodge, SMP Catering has catered many high profile corporate groups including Genentech, Hewlett Packard, Stanford University, Palm Inc., AOL, Sprint, Oracle and others.

Stephen’s wife, Mariana handles all the baking needs for SMP Catering, from delicious tea time scones and breakfast muffins, Tres Leches cakes to wedding cakes. Mariana can create a cake specific to your tastes.
